Roles and Responsibilities:

Strong with the experience of each partner, the Employment Offices offer an added value in the area of employment.

In a single, close location, citizens will find answers to their problems relating to employment and training.

Each Employment Office is based on an identical partnership that brings the municipality together, the Public Center for Social Welfare (CPAS), and the Forem.

This base partnership is completed with local actors in socio-professional integration.
These partners know the public and facilitate contacts.

The municipalities play a central role in the Employment Office’s daily activities and in the development of its identity.

Each Office reflects the area it serves by:

  • Offering a space for the unique nature of each location.
  • Responding to the specific needs of the population

This partnership with municipalities allows for the creation of collaborations with socio-economic actors in the area.

The Employment Offices are the motors behind a local network of social integration agencies, favoring:

  • Knowledge sharing.
  • Information exchange.
  • Setting up collaborations.
  • Exchanging best practices.

The Employment Office is managed by a companion committee made up of representatives from the municipality, from Forem, and from the CPAS.

This committee makes decisions related to the missions, objectives, and direction of the Employment Office.

Day-to-day management is ensured by a coordinator named by Forem.

The extended companion committee is composed of one representative from each of the Employment Office’s internal and external partners.

It oversees and injects enthusiasm into the smooth development of the partner project.
